Take The 30 Day Bible Challenge, FREE Printable Bible Reading Plans To Read The Entire Bible In Just One Month

In August of 2024, I wanted to take a break from social media and renew my mind with the Word of God. There was so much going on during 2024, so much negativity and so many lies that I wanted to immerse myself in truth.

I had read all of the bible, of course, but I don’t think I had ever followed any of the one year bible reading plans. I tend to do more bible study than bible reading, but this time, I wanted to just read. I wanted to not drag it out, but read the bible like I would read any other book – straight through as soon as a I could.

I decided to see if I could find a bible reading plan that was 60 days, which I didn’t. I found a few 90 days, but most bible reading plans are for one year. However, after a bit of googling, I came across a bible reading plan generator where I could plug in how many days I wanted to read, what order – chronological or book order, and old or new testament or both. I decided to do 30 days because I wanted to spend as much time in the Word than I would have on social media.

I ended up typing up the reading plan and breaking each days readings into sections to read throughout the day which would take less than two hours. I would have found it overwhelming to read all in one sitting (especially the old testament), but spreading it out over the course of the day was perfect for my lifestyle.

I posted on my Facebook page after I finished the 30 days.

I didn’t mention it in that Facebook post (I don’t know why), but the most profound thing that stuck out to me as I was reading, especially in the Old Testament, was how much God hates idolatry and how that sin opens the door to every other sin. Israel was sent into captivity for worshipping false gods, which led to many other heinous sins before the Lord. Since last summer, I have been checking myself to make sure that idol worship doesn’t creep in.

Now, summer of 2025 is basically upon us, and this past year has gone by so fast, with so much going on in our country, and the world. I’m feeling the need again to immerse myself in God’s Word, and dilute all the worldly noise, so I will again be doing the 30 Day Bible Challenge to read the entire bible in just a month. Will you join me?

HOW TO USE THIS READING PLAN

This Bible Reading Plan is designed to allow you to immerse yourself in the Word of God for 30 days, thereby renewing your mind and refocusing, and conforming, to Him. This is not meant to use for bible study, but devotional reading, which you can do each day in about two hours.

Because you might find it difficult to do it all in one sitting, each day’s readings are broken up to make it easier to schedule during the day. Simply place a check mark on the line after each reading. I suggest you read some when you wake up in the morning, during your lunch break, and then in the evening or at bedtime. You could also try to fit some reading in during the day whenever you have a free moment, such as waiting for a meeting, children’s nap time, riding in the car or on public transportation, or waiting for your child in the school pickup line. I’m sure you have a Bible app on your phone (if not, download one now) so it’s easy to read a bit here and there. Ultimately, it is entirely up to you when and how you do the daily reading, just so long as you do it.

I do recommend keeping a highlighter and journal or notebook near you as you read so that you can mark verses or passages, or write down anything you feel the Holy Spirit is leading you to record. This may be a prayer, notes and meditations on the scriptures, or you may want to copy a verse or two. You absolutely do not have to write down anything (reading is the goal here), but you may find that jotting down a few notes will help you remember what you have read, thereby enhancing the next day’s reading.

If you’d like to renew your mind and refresh your spirit, you can download the FREE 30 Day Bible Reading Plan Checklist. I prefer to read chronologically, but you may prefer book order, so download your preference. I would like to suggest you read chronologically because it will just flow together better.

REFLECTIONS

After you have completed the 30 Day Bible Challenge, you will be transformed because God’s word does not return void (Isaiah 55:11). Answering the reflection questions below is a meaningful way to consider God’s Word and how you can apply it to your life. If you prefer, you could answer these questions after each day’s reading.

1. Did you learn anything about the character of God that you had not yet grasped or understood before? If so, what was it?

2. Have you felt conviction over any sins, actions, or behaviors?

3. Have you felt the Spirit of God giving you guidance on any corrections in your life you need to make?

4. How would you describe your spiritual condition after having immersed yourself in the Word of God for the past 30 days? How has your mind been renewed?
