FALLEN HERO
We still remember you, our virtuous soul, one of a small breed, guided by the finger of God. Valor sounds strange, being so rarely see, but really, should it be so odd? Your journey was one of strength. When you were here, our world was a different place. The meadows were greener, clothed with a sense of your honor. The sky was brighter, a vibrant blue, shaded with the virtue of sacrifice! The earth was illuminated with a different sun, so your courage could be seen in plain sight. The sword of valor is questioned by those who don’t understand, but we always knew you fought for what was right! As we live, facing true world realities, we must admit that freedom isn’t really free. Wherever there was a cry from the hand of tyranny, you were there fighting for what you believed! Now you stand in God’s Glory. Heaven has rewarded you for what you chose. Never a day will pass where we fail to remember you. Forever in our hearts, forever we stand in awe…of our own Fallen Hero!
We wrote this poem to honor fallen soldiers, REAL AND TRUE HEROES, the courageous and awesome men and women who gave their lives in the service of this great country.
